Approach

How We Work

A Human-Centered AI Framework

Our institute transforms maternal and child health by turning data into action through a patient-centered approach that combines human expertise and experience with AI-guided analytics to facilitate decision-making and improve both care processes and patient outcomes.

Human decision makers — patients and providers — are integrated at all stages of care delivery, providing oversight, making critical decisions, and offering feedback to continuously improve the AI system. This ensures ethical, accurate, safe, fair, and accountable AI-driven decision making.

We pursue advances in key clinical outcomes including hypertensive management, development of sepsis, and preterm birth, drawing on multimodal clinical data, claims, and matched data with social services.
